Birth Parent Services

If You Are Pregnant . . .

and considering placing your baby for adoption you deserve to have a respectful and positive experience. With our years of experience, we can help you. We support your desire to create the adoption you want.

Our staff provides guidance and support throughout the adoption process. We have people on our staff who were adopted and who are adoptive parents. Adopt has been involved in over 6000 adoptions, both in California and out of the state. Adopt also has birth parent peer counselors available to speak to you about the process, extended family, openness, grief and loss, or answer any questions you may have. We can explain the adoption process to you in detail, discuss your options, and be available to help you before and after your baby is born. Our goal is always to help you with what you decide is right for your family.

Our adoption counselors will:

  • Educate you about the process
  • Help decide if adoption is right for you
  • Help you choose your adoptive family. Meet our waiting families
  • Assist you in understanding OPEN adoption.
  • Support you in determining the level of openness you want.
  • Coordinate with your doctor and hospital
  • Help you through the emotional issues
  • Advise you of your rights
  • Complete your relinquishment documents
  • Assist you in obtaining adoption expenses
