Adopt is a private, non-profit agency licensed by the State of California since 1983 and the State of Hawaii since 1993.  We provide both domestic and international adoption placement services.

We provide Home Study services and facilitate domestic adoptions for families residing in California and Hawaii. 

As an educational agency, we conduct Home Studies with respect and openness, and work with traditional and nontraditional families.

Searching

 We assist you in finding a baby.  Most of our families find babies through our network, which include: doctors, nurses, clinics, counselors, teen pregnancy programs, agencies, attorneys, and birth and adoptive parents.  We will also guide you in using your personal network.

Adoptive Home Study

An agency adoption requires a Home Study be completed prior to the relinquishment and placement.  Birth parents sign a relinquishment, which, in general, is legally binding within several days or weeks.

You may choose to work with an attorney in a private, independent adoption.  We will work cooperatively with your attorney.
