Children Available

• Boys and Girls (must adopt opposite gender if children are already in the home)
• Age ranges from 6 months to 10 years old at the time of adoption
• No limit to number of children brought into the home
• Cannot adopt more than one unrelated child at a time
• No sibling groups available
  Criteria For Adoption Parents

Criteria for Adoptive Parents

• Couples must be married for at least 4 years.
• Single women must be between 35 and 55 years old. They may either be unmarried, widowed or divorced.
• The age difference between the children to be adoption and the adoptive parent(s) must be more than 30 years.
• Parent(s) already having a son or daughter shall not be allowed to adopt children of the same gender. Families with both boys and girls in the home, may not adopt from Nepal.
• Parent(s) must apply for a child of a lesser age than that of any child already in the family.

Nepal’s Adoption Process

Will be determined once the country re-opens. Before the country closed, the process included one trip to Nepal.

Costs

Before the country closed, estimated expenses were $19,030 including program fees, country fees and immigration fees. These fees will likely revised once the new adoption process is outlined.
