Welcome ACCEPT Families

We are saddened that our friends at ACCEPT needed to close their doors on November 30, 2007. We are honored that they have recommended us to their families and have confidence that we will be able to help their families achieve their goals in building their families. Thank you for choosing us to work with. We know that the first months were hectic and busy trying to get to know all of you. We hope that you have become more relaxed and know what needs to be done to continue working with your family.

If you are just ready to update or renew applications, feel free to contact our office so that we can assist you. It has not been overwhelming to most, and the process of updating your home study is quite manageable. Our families adopting from China need to update home studies when the I-171H expires. There is an easy application to do this, so don't panic when it is your time to do so. Many of you have questions regarding CIS, and our experienced staff can help coordinate between you and CIS. Please let us know of any changes within your family so that your home study reflects this.

Post placements can easily be done with your social worker. Just apply to ADOPT, and we can get you set up for the visits that you need. Most of the social workers that you have worked with already have joined the ADOPT staff and continue to work with you. We have many social workers around the State, so it is no problem to get you connected to meet the requirements of the country from which you adopted.

ADOPT may have policy and procedures that differ from ACCEPT. Please remember that we are here to help you and appreciate your patience and > understanding.
