Francesca and John

Hello, we are Francesca and John. Thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We admire you for considering adoption and know that it is a courageous decision you are making out of deep love for your child. We hope that this letter will let you get to know us a little and how much we would treasure your child in our lives.

We are fortunate to live in a small city in Northern California near San Francisco with its many family activities. We enjoy the rural parts of our county with its farms, parks and trails. Our home is in a close-knit neighborhood full of children of all ages, and is within walking distance from the neighborhood elementary school and playgrounds.

As best friends who met at UC Berkeley, we have a very happy marriage full of love and laughter and cannot wait to share our lives with a child. We are both blessed to have warm and loving families nearby which are good friends to each other. We cherish the time we spend together at CAL basketball games, concerts, picnics, and at nieces’ and nephews’ activities. Our child will have 4 grandparents, 10 aunts and uncles, and 10 cousins. We love to travel especially to visit John’s sisters in Canada and Wales and Francesca’s cousins in Italy.

We have lots of friends who, along with our families, eagerly await the arrival of our child. We plan to raise our child in the Catholic faith and are active in our parish which is large, friendly, and caring. Our parish has an elementary school where Francesca has taught, that provides an excellent education as well as great opportunities for sports, service, music, art, and drama. We are blessed to be part of a community where families develop deep life-long bonds.

John is warm, generous, and very kind. He is patient and has a great sense of humor. He works as an engineer who loves to build things both at work and at home. He is an enthusiastic gardener and he is our nephews’ and nieces’ favorite board game opponent.

Francesca is loving and affectionate. She was a devoted history teacher who is currently at home getting ready to be a full time mother. She volunteers at the local library and a nursing care home in San Francisco. As a quilter, she enjoys creating projects and gifts for family and friends. She sings in a community chorus at a local university. She loves to cook and host holidays and celebrations for our families.

We are excited to welcome a child into our lives. Our home will be full of love, laughter, and joy. We are devoted to raising a confident, faith-filled and happy child.

We believe open adoption is a wonderful way to build our family. If you feel that we could be the right family for your child, we welcome the opportunity for you to get to know us. We look forward to learning more about you. Please feel free to call us at 1-855-660-4482. If you prefer, you can contact our adoption counselor, Lisa Clark at 1-800-969-6665.
