Jessica Ozberker, Adoption Social Worker
I was hired at BAAS in May of 2016, as I was just returning to work after having my daughter, 3 years prior. Once BAAS and AI merged, I quickly jumped at the opportunity to become dually trained as a domestic and international Adoption Social Worker and have thoroughly enjoyed being of service in both realms.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work at San Jose State University and shortly after, became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I have worked in the social service field for 15 years as a clinician, advocate, evaluator, supervisor, educator, grant writer, and case manager, among many other roles and truly am passionate about my current work in the world of adoption. I find my role as an Adoption Social Worker with BAAS/AI as incredibly sacred in supporting children and their adoptive parents on their journeys into family hood, together. I deeply enjoy being a witness and resource to families as they bond, struggle, and find resiliency on their adoption paths and learn so much, with each child and parent.
When I’m not visiting with and learning about adoptive children and their families, I love to spend time with my 6 year old daughter traveling, swimming in warm bodies of water, and being in community.
