Sam & Nicole

Hello! We are Nicole and Sam. We respect the difficult and loving choice you are considering for your child and admire your courage. Thank you for taking the time to read our letter and for giving us the opportunity to give you a sense of who we are and the warm, loving home we would provide for your child. Sam’s brother was adopted, and we are excited to follow the same path that Sam’s parents did.
We fell in love four years ago and have been together ever since. We have a wonderful marriage and know we are soulmates. It took us a long time to find each other, but it was worth the wait! We were drawn together by our shared interested for family, travel, food, and adventure. Our strong relationship is based on good communication, shared values, mutual respect, and lots of laughs. We have not been able to have a baby, but we are eager to become parents through adoption and fulfill our dream of raising a child.
Nicole grew up in Hong Kong before moving to Los Angeles as a young girl. She studied at UCLA for her Masters Degree. She works as a nurse practitioner at UCLA Medical Center, caring for cancer and kidney transplant patients of all ages. Nicole is caring, loving, compassionate, kind-hearted, fun-loving, and loyal. She is always positive and never gives up. She loves experimenting in the kitchen, swimming, tennis, scrapbooking, jigsaw puzzles, and taking lots of photos. One daya she hopes to open a flower shop!
Sam grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which gave him a lifelong love of Mexican food. He works as a lawyer in Beverly Hills, helping people who are hurt get compensated for their injuries. Sam is kind, funny, intelligent, creative, honest, and hardworking, His passions are writing, movies, reading, playing beach volleyball, crossword puzzles, and watching sports. He hopes to write the next great American novel!
We live in Los Angeles, near UCLA, and only five miles from the beach. Our community has an excellent school system, great parks, and better weather, with countless exciting places and activities to experience.
Together we enjoy spending time with our adorable Goldendoodle dog named Rusty. He is excited to be a big brother! We love getting Saturday morning coffees, hosting dinner parties and game nights, trying new restaurants with our friends, singing in our car to the latest hits, and having adventures. We are passionate about traveling and seeing the world, and have recently been to Europe, Bali, and even to Australia!
Our family is very important to us. Nicole’s mom and uncle live only a few minutes away, and it’s wonderful to have them close by. Sam’s parents visit often from Maryland. We also love traveling to Seattle to spend time with Nicole’s brother, sister-in-law, and our young nieces who are five and nine. We can’t wait for weekend pancake breakfasts with our child, movie nights, dance parties, being silly, road trips through the American southwest visiting national parks, and showing him or her the world.
We believe strongly in open adoption and are committed to building a healthy relationship with our child’s birth family. Our child will always know his or her birth story and family heritage, and will always know he or she is loved by us and by you. We want you to know that it’s a decision we will always cherish and never take for granted.
Thank you again for taking the time to let us introduce ourselves. We would love the opportunity to talk to you and answer questions you may have, and learn about you and your dreams for your baby.
