Hello!

Our names are Brian and Lauren Wilcox (and our little dog Max Wilcox).  We are so excited to be on this journey to grow our family through adoption. Becoming parents has always been a dream of ours, and we are ready to open our hearts and home to a child. We believe every child deserves unconditional love, stability, and encouragement to thrive, and we can’t wait to share our lives, laughter, and traditions with a little one. Below is a little information about us.

We met in 2002, fell in love and got married in August, 2007. We both grew up in Marin County California and after living in San Francisco and Manhattan for 15 years we moved back here in 2020 to settle down in a great community near Mt Tamalpais. We love to hike, fish, and explore the world on foot with our sweet dog Max. We live at the base of Mt Tam and feel so lucky to have hiking trails outside of our front door while only being a 30 minute drive to most communities in the Bay Area. We have lots of friends and family nearby that we spend time with every week. We have always wanted to start a family. After trying the traditional way for the last 8 years we realized that path just wasn't for us. We feel very lucky to be on this journey and can't wait to open our arms to a child when it is time. We are ready to be parents!!

About Lauren: Lauren grew up with her parents and  younger brother in Northern California. She grew up in a loving family where laughter was considered just as important as hard work. She has worked in all aspects of residential real estate since her early 20s. Lauren has always been very hard working but she is also a huge kid at heart. She loves to play and explore and has found herself going to the Zoo alone more than a few times in her 30s. Lauren is fun to be around, overly caring about everyone, and thinks being a goofball is the best way to be! She believes that there is no age limit on playing and laughter!  "I have always dreamed of becoming a mom, and because I love caring for others, my heart is ready to give a child endless love, support, and guidance."

About Brian: Brian loves technology, fishing and exploring the outdoors. He cannot wait to explore this creative world with his child! Brian is a warm, intelligent, and family-oriented individual with a deep sense of commitment to those he loves. Brian developed close bonds with his family, particularly his brother, with whom he shares a balance of creativity and logic. A self-described uber computer nerd and child prodigy in technology, Brian followed his passion into a successful career in IT and security, currently working remotely in a role he enjoys. He is thoughtful, grounded, and perceptive traits that shine in his marriage to Lauren, whom he deeply respects and supports. Brian is the kind of person who finds joy in simple things like hiking, fishing, and spending time with loved ones, and he manages stress through connection and calm reflection. His desire to become a father stems from a place of genuine love and an eagerness to nurture and guide a child with kindness, patience, and care.

About Max: Max is a 3 year old terrier mix who we rescued as a puppy. He loves to cuddle and play. He loves playing fetch and running around the yard with our friend’s kids. He is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever met.

We love where we live! We spend a lot of time exploring California. Some of our hobbies include fishing and crabbing in Bolinas.  We try to be near the water often! We also like to be homebodies. We like to read, cook, eat good food, watch movies, and play games. We learned we are better at eating than cooking but we still try to get creative in the kitchen!

We see our family as often as possible. Lauren's family lives nearby and we do dinner every month! Brian's brother lives in Seattle with his wife and our nephews. We love looking after the boys when they come to visit from Seattle. We see them many times throughout the year.

Open adoption is important to us because it will give our child a strong sense of identity and will allow their birth family to remain a meaningful part of their story.

We are so excited to become parents and cannot wait to welcome a child into our hearts and home. We are so grateful you took the time to read our story, and we are here for you whether you have questions or just want to talk.

Please call us at toll free at (844) 945-2694 or our adoption counselor, Lisa at (800) 969-6665.

Love,

Lauren and Brian (and our little dog Max)
