Through our affiliation with Family and Children’s Agency (FCA), Adopt provides an adoption program in South Korea. FCA has had a successful program with South Korea for 20 years. The program works directly with birth mothers and children who are placed in private, supervised foster care and receive regular medical attention until they are placed with a forever family.

* DUE to changes in adoption policies in South Korea, FCA currently is not accepting new applications. If you wish to be placed on a list to be notified of changes in South Korea, email us at adopt@adoptinter.org

Process Overview

Once the family completes the limited required paperwork, they can expect to be matched to a child within approximately 12 months. Then the family can plan on brining their child home within the next three to six months. Adopt International requires at least one parent travel to Seoul, South Korea to escort their child home, which takes approximately one week.

Criteria for Adoptive Parents

  • Couples must be married at least three years.

  • Both members must between 25 and 44 years of age.
